Owen is here - and I'm back! Sort of...

The last three weeks have been a blur. My mom has been in town taking care of Cali and helping with meals and cleaning as I figure out how to take care of a newborn again.  It's only been two years and, for the most part, I got the hang of things quickly this time!  Other than a huge pain-in-the-boob time with breast feeding (and getting that dreaded mastitis), things are going smoothly... today. 

Today is the first day mom is not in town; today is the first day my husband is out doing work.  Today is the first day that I've had both kids - ALONE for more than an hour.  And right now, they are both sleeping. I probably should be too!

I'm excited about this new chapter in my life. It means new opportunities for our family, but it also means letting go of some old things.  I'm finding that life can keep throwing things at you and you can't possibly catch them all. And that's okay! We're not meant to be everything to everyone. It's freeing to be able to say "ya know what? That's just not for me and my family right now."
